Ralph Bangs, Ph.D. and Jose Argueta, Ph.D. of the University Center for Social and Urban Research at the University of Pittsburgh produced this report profiling people with disabilities in southwestern Pennsylvania based on the 2000 Census. Data includes a demographic breakdown by county, age, gender, race, and type of disability, as well as information about social and economic factors such as marital status, education, employment, and poverty. In addition, local demographics are compared with state and national averages.
